See Frankie Ballard’s Acoustic Version of “Helluva Life”

Special performance from Blackbird Studio

Folks in Nashville have known Frankie Ballard is great for some time and now finally the rest of the world is realizing it, as his single “Helluva Life” is climbing into the upper reaches of the charts. It’s Frankie’s first major hit, after a couple earlier singles that grazed the Top 40, and naturally he’s thrilled.

“It feels so crazy,” Frankie says. “My other two songs [‘Tell Me You Get Lonely’ and ‘A Buncha Girls’] were Top 30, but this is such a bigger deal when you get into the Top 20 or Top 15 because your song is in front of a lot more people. To look at the charts and see my name being surrounded by Brad Paisley, Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, Zac Brown Band and all these people I really admire is really cool.”

Check out this special acoustic performance of Frankie’s “Helluva Life,” as part of the Live From Blackbird Studio web series, and pick up the Feb. 17 issue of Country Weekly, on stands now, to read more about Frankie and his new album, Sunshine & Whiskey.
