Old Crow Medicine Show’s “Sweet Amarillo” Music Video

Featuring barrel racing, rolling F150s and attractive young people.

Old Crow Medicine Show’s signature hit “Wagon Wheel” (now a No. 1 country song for Darius Rucker) began its life as a Bob Dylan outtake that OCMS singer Ketch Secor took upon himself to complete.

On the group’s excellent new album, Remedy, that dynamic is happening once again. The song “Sweet Amarillo” was sent to the band by Bob, who requested they complete a chorus that he had partially written.

The band jumped at the opportunity and worked with Bob to come up with the finished version of “Sweet Amarillo.” The song’s music video, which was directed by Philip Andelman, tells the story of a cowboy and cowgirl and their tumultuous relationships. Watch it below.

OCMS will be on tour this summer, including a headlining gig at Red Rocks outside Denver on Wednesday, July 16, with special guests The Carolina Chocolate Drops.
