Miranda Lambert Has to Vote Against Herself at the 2014 ACM Awards

Among her field-leading seven nominations at the 49th annual Academy of Country Music Awards, Miranda Lambert is currently competing against herself in the Vocal Event of the Year category, as a guest on her husband Blake Shelton’s hit “Boys ’Round Here” as well as a duet partner on Keith Urban’s “We Were Us.” In a recent interview, she talked about the multiple nominations and how she might vote.

“Having two songs in Vocal Event is great," she said. “One is with Pistol Annies and my husband, and one’s with Keith Urban, who is one of my heroes. And I have a better chance of winning because I’m nominated twice!”

But picking one of the songs to receive her vote won’t exactly be easy, if Miranda can even manage that. “I probably have to vote for another one. I feel bad voting for myself,” she said. “I feel like I need to look over my shoulder and make sure no one’s looking if I circle my name, so just go somebody else altogether.”

Find out who wins and catch Miranda performing this Sunday, April 6, when the 49th annual ACM Awards airs live from Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
