Jimmy Fallon Learns About Dolly Parton’s Childhood, Tries On One of Her Wigs

Dolly Parton showed up in New York on Tuesday’s (May 13) episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. She and host Jimmy discussed her impoverished childhood in the Smoky Mountains of eastern Tennessee as well as the fact that she wears a lot of wigs.

“It was a good life. My dad was a farmer and my mother was the greatest,” Dolly told Jimmy. “My mother had a great attitude. She would say things like, ‘Well, kids, if we had some ham we’d have some ham and eggs, if we had some eggs!’”

Then they got around to Jimmy trying on one of Dolly’s wigs.

Jimmy apparently thought he looked like a “rocker,” but Dolly commented, “Don’t you think you look a little more like Paula Deen than Gary Busey?”
