How Luke Bryan Is Preparing to Host the ACM Awards

Luke Bryan is probably really busy in Las Vegas right now, as he prepares to co-host the 49th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday, April 6, with his buddy Blake Shelton.

ET Now’s Brooke Anderson sat down with Luke for a quick interview to talk about the process of getting ready for the show. He and Blake had been working on their script and adding their own little twists already. “We’ll run it 15 or 20 times and work out all the little kinks,” he said.

He also took time to surprise a loyal fan at her place of business, eliciting screams of joy and excitement.

Many more screams of excitement await Luke on the stage of the MGM Garden Grand Arena, where he will be performing in addition to hosting. He’s also up for the highly coveted Entertainer of the Year honor, among an impressive field that includes George Strait, Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert and Taylor Swift.
