Exclusive: Behind the Scenes of Josh Abbott Band’s New Single, “Hangin’ Around”

It’s been about a year since we heard anything new from the Josh Abbott Band, but the Texan troupe is back on the radio with their new single, “Hangin’ Around.” As the new tune climbs the charts, Country Weekly has the exclusive behind-the-scenes look at how this fun new song came to be.

“Coming into this album, I definitely wanted to focus on fun,” says Josh. “The single, ‘Hangin’ Around,’ was written with Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne, who are just phenomenal. It’s just such a fun song.”

In anticipation of the release of their new EP this fall, the boys are heading back out on tour, including stops in Nashville, New York and Washington, D.C.
