Conference Room Country: The Howlin’ Brothers

Mountain music doesn't just have to come out of Appalachia. Meet The Howlin' Brothers, a trio of bluegrass-loving guys who met while studying at Ithaca College in New York's Finger Lakes region. While they may not be brothers by blood, banjo player Ian Craft, guitarist Jared Green and bassist Ben Plasse share the type of close bond that can only come through music. Look for their debut album, Howl, produced by Brendan Benson (a member of The Raconteurs with Jack White), on March 5.

In the first of Country Weekly's new "Conference Room Country" video series, The Howlin' Brothers perform a rollicking rendition of the old work song "Take This Hammer."
