Blake Says Hosting Without Reba Will Suck

“I always count on her to keep things where they need to be as far as timing and script stuff.”

This 48th ACM Awards on Sunday (April 7) will be the first one in over a decade without Reba hosting the ceremonies. Her co-host Blake Shelton has a new co-host of his own with Luke Bryan, but jokes that it's going to “suck” without Reba there. Sorry, Luke.

“She’s such a rock. I always count on her to keep things where they need to be as far as timing and script stuff,” Blake told ET in the video above. “Now, this year with Luke, it’s just gonna suck,” he joked.

Reba was more optimistic about Blake's situation. “I think he’d be fine by himself, but he is gonna get a sidekick. It’s gonna be a fun show.”

She even offered a little bit of advice. “[He needs to] be himself, stay cool, calm and collected and have fun. And keep it short and tight!”
