WHO'S NEW: THE GRASCALS

CURRENT SINGLE: "Viva Las Vegas"

BOTH SIDES NOW
"I would say we're traditional bluegrass and traditional country," says Jamie Johnson (guitar, vocals). "We want to take the excitement of bluegrass and get it to other audiences, just like Alison Krauss has done, and The Osborne Brothers did in the '70s."

DOLLY'S DUDES
"We open up for Dolly Parton every night, and then play behind her as the core of her band. As long as she'll keep us, we'll stay right by her side."

VIVA ELVIS!
"It's a totally different version of the Elvis song. We just kicked it up a few notches, and Dolly was nice enough to come in and put her vocals on it."

FRIENDS HAVING FUN
"It's a job, but it's our dream job. Not only is our career at full tilt, but we're working with some of our best friends. Honestly, I don't think life could be any better."

The Grascals' "Viva Las Vegas" CD single is on sale now, and their self-titled debut CD hits stores in February. They also play on Dolly Parton's upcoming album, due out this spring.
