SAVE A HEART
Tim McGraw and Larry King raise money for cardiac patients in need
Tim McGraw and comedian Martin Short helped talk show host Larry King raise money for his annual Larry King Cardiac Foundation benefit March 11 in Washington, D.C. Tim and his band performed at the $1,000-a-plate gala. Larry's foundation-with the goal "to save a heart a day"-provides funding for life-saving cardiac procedures for individuals who, due to limited means and inadequate insurance, are unable to receive treatment. Larry and his wife, Shawn Southwick-King, hosted the gala. During Tim's performance, one lady wanted more from him-she screamed, "Take off your hat!" Tim answered, "This isn't the movies," referring to his acclaimed, and hatless, performance in last year's film Friday Night Lights.
