Jeff says that he prefers the direct approach to writing love songs. “The reason so many love songs are built around metaphors,” Jeff tells Country Weekly, “is because it’s easier for guys to write generally rather than directly about love. Well, I’m no good at metaphors. I’d rather just get to the point.”

Jeff also talks about his new relationship, and why his current single, “One Second Chance,” hits close to home. “I’ve lived that song,” explains Jeff. “I know all about second chances.”
