ISLAND TWANG

Okay, so Travis Tritt was in the Caribbean's Cayman Islands to perform as part of the concert series Cayman Country. And perform his heart out he did. But you'd better believe he also squeezed in some time beneath the waves.

"We got in the day before the show and we flew out the day after," explains Travis, "but I managed to get in three dives. And every one was fantastic!"

Travis has been a diver for more than a decade. "Jumping into that warm-all-year Cayman water," he declares, "is like jumping into a bathtub full of spectacular-looking fish. My first scuba dive ever was in the Caymans in the late '80s - and I saw an octopus! These islands are absolutely amazing."

But Travis wasn't the only country singer-turned-diver. The Wilkinsons - Steve, Amanda and Tyler; Chris Cagle; Kassidy Osborne of SHeDAISY; Jennifer Kinley of The Kinleys; and newcomer Joanna Janét also took the plunge between their shows. Divers from PADI, the Professional Association of Diving Instructors - a primary Cayman Country sponsor - helped the stars explore the ocean.
