THE FANS SPEAK

2002 Fan Favorite Awards

We asked, and you answered - 63,705 of you, to be exact. And the message you delivered was loud and clear: We love AJ!

After months of voting, Alan Jackson was the undisputed champion of this year's Country Weekly Fan Favorite Awards, winning in half the categories - in fact, he nabbed almost every award for which he was eligible.

He was your Favorite Entertainer and Male Artist, his smash "Where Were You (When The World Stopped Turning)" touched your heart, his multiplatinum Drive album was spinning in your CD players, and when he teamed with George Strait for "Designated Drinker" - well, that was a winner, too!

But Alan isn't alone in the spotlight this year. Martina McBride's powerful voice earned her Favorite Female honors, Blake Shelton was your pick to click as the Favorite New Artist, Brooks & Dunn snared Favorite Duo, Toby Keith's flashy "I Wanna Talk About Me" video kept your hands off the remote, and the soon-to-retire Alabama assured they'd go out on top as your Favorite Group.
