Taylor Debuts at the Top

Taylor Swift’s new album, Fearless, is setting sales marks as it debuts at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard all-genre Top 200 Albums Chart.

With sales of nearly 600,000 copies in its first week, Fearless has the largest U.S. opening sales week in 2008 by a female artist in any genre of music. And with more than 129,000 copies sold digitally, Fearless is the biggest country digital album debut in history. Taylor also has the highest-selling country debut for 2008. Fearless includes Taylor’s current single, “Love Story,” as well as “White Horse,” which was featured on the season debut of the popular TV series Grey’s Anatomy.
