You Don't Know Me: The Songs of Cindy Walker

You may not know Cindy Walker, but you certainly know her songs: since the 1940s she's been composing country classics like "You Don't Know Me," "I Don't Care" and "Sugar Moon," all of which get a good airing out on this brisk, fleet-footed tribute from one of her most devoted acolytes, Willie Nelson. You Don't Know Me finds one of country's greatest songwriters revealing where he learned a few of his tricks: the economy and sly wit of Cindy's songs suit him just fine, especially on his very appropriate take on "Don't Be Ashamed of Your Age."
