Where I Am

The title of Tammy’s third album promises to answer a question her fans have been asking for four years: Where is she? Like many promising artists, a few hits (“Angels in Waiting,” “Life Happened”) proved no insurance from protracted record-label problems. Now Tammy has re-emerged, making up for lost time with by far her most personal work yet. She co-wrote all of the dozen tracks, and frequent tourmate Anita Cochran (no relation) produced with a delicate touch that emphasizes the songs and the singer—a wise move with a voice this lustrous. Here she is indeed. (Available online at tammycochranfans.com.)
