Ultimate Aaron Tippin

Aaron's muscular early 1990s working-man's anthems still sound fresh - a good thing, since this is the sixth time they've been compiled. No matter how well songs like "There Ain't Nothin' Wrong With the Radio" have aged, Ultimate doesn't offer reason enough for collectors to add to their towering stack of best-of CDs.

That said, new fans looking for a history lesson could do worse than this 20-track accounting of Aaron's hits before 1997. That's when Ultimate stops cold due to record-label issues - meaning "Kiss This" gets missed.
