Coming from an act that burst onto the country scene four years ago trailing a freewheeling “freak parade” of fun wherever they went, there’s something oddly terse and restrained about this CD/DVD set. Maybe it’s because the first Super Galactic Fan Pak was, well, packed with more fun—more songs, more video, more of the glorious excess we’ve come to expect from Big & Rich. Here we get an EP containing three new Big Kenny-penned tunes paired with a live video that finds Kenny and partner John Rich racing through a 75-minute concert.
