Still Feels Good by Rascal Flatts

The fifth Rascal Flatts album is even more glossy, smooth and airlessly perfect than the first four. Every ballad soars, every upbeat tune has “attitude” without actually having an attitude, and it’s easy to imagine most any of these tracks becoming mammoth hits on country radio. Little interrupts the easygoing flow except for the nifty Jamie Foxx duet “She Goes All the Way” and the outlandishly over-the-top “It’s Not Supposed to Go Like That,” a ballad about young people dying in grisly ways that’s about as subtle—and as meaningful—as a slasher movie.
