At a time when new artists are having trouble getting noticed, Delaware native Chuck has climbed into the Top 20 with his debut single, “Stealing Cinderella”. It’s entirely likely that warm welcome will continue, as every track on Starting Now sounds tailor-made for radio—slick, unsurprising, guaranteed to fit perfectly between Rascal Flatts and Carrie Underwood without bothering anyone too much. That’s all well and good—unless you’re actually looking for music with passion and personality. Chuck has a fine voice, but his individuality and personality aren’t showcased on Starting Now.
