Revival by John Fogerty

Genre maps are being redrawn day by day—the precise borders between country, pop, rock and even rap are porous and open to dispute. Several rock legends have recently found themselves standing in country territory simply by returning to their roots.

John Fogerty’s Creedence Clearwater Revival is one of many 1960s and ’70s bands that would probably wind up in the “country” bin at the record store if they emerged today.

So by reviving his classic style on the lively Revival, he sounds more like a country singer than ever.
