Reflections by Don Williams

For those who bemoan the fact that there is very little country music on country radio today, well, you might be right. But that doesn’t mean it isn’t being made.

So, while you aren’t likely to find “The Answer,” a standout track from the newest Don Williams album, Reflections, wedged between Luke Bryan’s latest smash and the new Florida Georgia Line single, it is validation that stone-cold country still exists.

Reflections is not for the digital-single buyer. It is a collection of music to be savored and relished in its entirety. And it is quintessential Don Williams.

One track, the sweet and tender anthem to love “I Won’t Give Up on You,” is vaguely reminiscent of the Williams standard “I’m Just a Country Boy,” while others, like “Healing Hands,” seem destined to be deemed “new classics.”

Reflections is a must-have for any Don fan, any traditional country fan and anyone who wants to know what Williams acolyte Keith Urban has been crowing about for years.
