Polyrically Uncorrect

After an extended detour into radio work, funnyman Cledus T. Judd slips easily back into his long-held role as country’s court jester on Polyrically Uncorrect. The opening title cut (a parody of Gretchen Wilson’s “Politically Uncorrect”) finds Cledus declaring his renewed dedication to skewering country music in particular and society in general, with a crucial assist from Ashton Shepherd on the choruses. Guest Brooks & Dunn steals the show on the album’s high point, “Garth Must Be Busy” (teeing off the duo’s “God Must Be Busy”)—hearing Ronnie Dunn sing majestically about Garth Brooks driving a minivan is the kind of chuckle only Cledus can make possible.
