Meet Glen Campbell

It’s become a cliché to team a veteran country artist with a young rock producer to restore some faded vitality and relevance, but Meet Glen Campbell spins a twist on that formula with glowing results. These 10 well-chosen covers of rock songs from the 1960s through the early 2000s have all been set by producer Julian Raymond (indeed, best known for his work with alt-rock acts) in the string-laden shimmer of Glen’s classic early-1970s sound and delivered with smooth-as-silk aplomb by the man of the hour. It’s a fine way to meet Glen Campbell all over again.
