Meet Cap

Ohio-born comedian John Caparulo follows in the “blue-collar comedy” footsteps of Jeff Foxworthy, Larry the Cable Guy and Bill Engvall, although much of the profanity-packed material on Meet Cap would make fans of those comics blush. That’s the only way in which John dares to offend, though—Meet Cap takes on a predictable array of comedy targets including air travel, traffic, TV and relationships. That he manages to wring a healthy number of laugh-out-loud moments from such mundane topics is due to not just solid writing but a keen sense of timing signaled by a remarkable knack for a well-placed pause.
