Long Monday

Singer and guitarist Tim Hensley’s bluegrass debut was co-produced by Kenny Chesney and recorded in Nashville with help from big names like Vince Gill and Patty Loveless as well as two members of Blue Highway. Long Monday is contemplative and quiet, and most of the tunes are traditional favorites or smartly chosen covers. It keeps the focus on the singers, the players and especially the songs—and together they demonstrate that you can make meaningful mountain music just about anywhere, as long as you put your hear into it.
