Little Bit of Everything

It’s been three years since his last album, but on Little Bit of Everything Billy Currington handily settles right back into a laid-back groove that—true to the album title—takes in country, pop and soul with breezy ease. A few tracks cover topics that are already far too often discussed in modern country: He parties on the beach in the opening “Swimmin’ in Sunshine,” for instance, and “That’s How Country Boys Roll” is the umpteenth song this year to enumerate the attributes of rural males. Nonetheless, the charm of its host ensures that Little Bit of Everything is always an enjoyable party.
