Life Goes On
Terri's 2000 album Fearless proved her capable of artistry on a level deeper than her novelty-tinged radio hits sometimes suggestbut that album was a commercial disappointment, and she's been backing away from its more intimate approach ever since. That process continues on her sixth effort, a radio-ready collection that's never less than pleasant but never terribly compelling, either. Playing it so safe keeps Life Goes On out of the ditchnone of these 12 tracks are really badbut likewise keeps it from ever truly taking flight.   Chris Neal
