Legendary Performances

This review was originally part of a dual review for two Legendary Performances DVDs featuring Marty Robbins and Tammy Wynette.

These two releases kick off a planned series of DVDs gathering TV performances from throughout the careers of country’s greatest icons. The vintage clips on Tammy’s Legendary Performances chart her progress from 1967 through 1982, while Marty’s DVD presents him as a fresh-faced rising star in 1957, a veteran showman in 1979 and everything in between. Both discs are stuffed with extras, including interviews and other archival footage.
