Keep On Walkin’

Bluegrass group The Grascals give over a sizable chunk of their third album to covers of classic country and bluegrass songs, including selections that are inspired (George Jones’ “Choices”), obvious (the standard “Rollin’ in My Sweet Baby’s Arms”) or even both (Waylon Jennings’ “Only Daddy That’ll Walk the Line”). The group’s own solid-enough songs don’t quite stack up against such hallowed company, but the consistently high level of virtuosity and energy on display—these guys have twice been named the International Bluegrass Music Association’s Entertainer of the Year, after all—make Keep On Walkin’  a lively and listenable affair.
