I'll Take the Fifth

Missouri native Dallas Wayne has been rocking honky-tonks for more than three decades, but is nonetheless perhaps most widely known as a DJ on Sirius XM satellite radio. Hopefully, his notoriety as an on-air personality will help to snag more airtime for this stellar new album. Dallas is an engaging singer and songwriter, but he also knows how to bring in the right supporting cast—alt-country rabble-rouser Robbie Fulks brings his sharp wit to four songs as a co-writer, while legendary guitarist Redd Volkaert serves up hot licks throughout the album and Sunny Sweeney is a sassy duet partner on “Straighten Up (and Lie Right).”
