Home At Last by Billy Ray Cyrus

Billy Ray has been cranking out appealing albums for the last few years without attracting a whole lot of attention.

But his massive TV exposure of the past year—co-starring in daughter Miley’s hit show Hannah Montana, hoofing his way into America’s hearts on Dancing With the Stars—means that Home at Last will likely be heard by a generation of listeners who scarcely remember “Achy Breaky Heart.”

What those new fans get here is a thoughtful set of songs about family and fatherhood, needlessly supplemented by a few too many covers of overly familiar pop and rock classics.
