Some great musical teams just can’t seem to stay apart forever—Glenn Tilbrook and Chris Difford, co-frontmen of legendary pop group Squeeze, have endlessly broken up and reunited, while Jayhawks leaders Marc Olson and Gary Louris recently re-teamed as a duo after more than a decade apart. North Carolina roots-rock outfit The dBs, led by Peter Holsapple and Chris Stamey, broke up in 1988 after a decade—and now its frontmen are together again. Here and Now is the sound of two old friends rediscovering their easy chemistry while avoiding any hint of nostalgia—these are songs about hard-won wisdom, performed with humble good humor.
