Flying Under the Radar

*** ½

For the die-hard fans who stuck with the Headhunters after they exited country radio a decade and a half ago, this compilation of tracks from the band’s last three albums will be redundant (although they’ll still want to pick it up for the handful of unreleased tunes). For everyone else, Flying Under the Radar is a perfect opportunity to catch up with a group that has never stopped cranking out great records, no matter how many people weren’t listening. Flying finds the Headhunters drifting away from country and toward rock and blues, but never losing their wings.
