Eric Paslay (album)

You already know Eric Paslay as the pen behind hits like Jake Owen’s “Barefoot Blue Jean Night,” Eli Young Band’s “Even If It Breaks Your Heart” and Love and Theft’s “Angel Eyes.”

Now he’s the voice behind his own hit, “Friday Night,” as well as his self-titled debut album, which hosts a heap of winners.

The gifted songwriter has done an incredible job of showcasing his ability to create a collection that leans away from lyrical trends and toward depth and texture. From the edgy opener “Keep On Fallin’” to the neo-bluegrassy “Here Comes Love,” Eric reveals the complexity of an accomplished artist, and retains the purity of solid country music.

Eric’s rich tenor wraps around you like honey, whether he’s singing the audacious “Song About a Girl,” the mournful “She Don’t Love You” or the inspiring “Deep as It Is Wide.”
