Christie Lynn Sings Country • Gospel • Bluegrass

For a newcomer, attracting all-star guests isn’t always such a blessing— Alabama native Christie Lynn gets upstaged on her own album by appearances from Dolly Parton, Ralph Stanley and Porter Wagoner. Christie may not have as distinctive a voice as those legends, but she proves capable of carrying these 12 acoustic-based tunes. Porter’s presence as producer and principal songwriter here makes it difficult for the star’s own personality to shine through, but it’s a promising enough start.
