Chicago Wind

Leave it to independent-minded Merle to annoy those on the political right and left in the same song: "Where's All the Freedom" decries both the post-Sept. 11 clampdown on civil liberties and the ban on government displays of the Ten Commandments. The Hag also urges the U.S. to withdraw from Iraq on "Rebuild America First," but the heart of Chicago Wind lies in more personal moments like the softly swinging title cut and a moving take on Roger Miller's classic "Leavin's Not the Only Way to Go."
