Chaos and Bright Lights

This Australian trio of sisters, with their peppy brand of country and pure family harmonies, will rightfully draw comparisons to SHeDAISY, while the group’s fiddle- and banjo-soaked virtuoso instrumentals should land them squarely in Dixie Chicks territory. The trio’s lyrics are pure girl power, whether the subject is walking away from a dying relationship (“Good Cry”) or standing one’s ground and fighting for a good one (“Til You Love Me”). This threesome’s versatility is impressive, from the arena-rock leanings of “Settle Down” to the humorous ditty “Favorite Boyfriend of the Year.” The romantic “Shotgun,” with its delicate harmonies, provides a nice contrast to rousing country-rock songs such as “Ghost Town.” A promising debut.
