The Best of the Hightone Years

Buddy Miller is probably best known as a presence in the music of fellow artists—his songs have been recorded by Dierks Bentley (“My Love Will Follow You”), Lee Ann Womack (“Does My Ring Burn Your Finger”), the Dixie Chicks (“Hole in My Head”) and others, while Trisha Yearwood and Emmylou Harris are among those who’ve called upon his considerable skills as a guitarist and harmony singer. But he has also been quietly cranking out splendid solo albums for more than a decade, and The Best of the Hightone Years offers a welcome introduction to that body of work for new fans intrigued by his collaborations with bigger names.
