Beatin’ Round the Bush

In a genre dominated politically almost completely by conservatives, there’s no quicker way to kick up a fuss than by declaring yourself a liberal—just ask the Dixie Chicks. So this Bush-bashing EP, masterminded by veteran producer and songwriter Rick Levy, is an intriguing little item.Unfortunately, the cleverness and comedy value of songs like “He Swapped the Bottle for the Bible” and “Buckshot Dick” extend no further than their titles, and the political points being made won’t exactly be revelations to the lefties who will likely be the only ones buying Beatin’ Round the Bush anyway.
