The fashions and hairstyles may have dated over the last 25 years, but as long as there are boorish, abusive, ignorant bosses leapfrogging up the corporate ladder, this kicky 1980 revenge fantasy about three secretaries declaring war on their alleged superior will remain relevant. Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda are outstanding, but it’s first-time actress Dolly Parton who supplies the movie with its comic spark and its heart—as well as its Oscar-nominated title song. This 25th anniversary DVD features loads of nifty extras, including deleted scenes, a fun gag reel and a commentary track featuring the trio of stars.
