Brett Eldredge found another unique way to celebrate a No. 1 hit. To mark the occasion of “Beat of the Music” hitting the top spot, he dove into shark-filled waters off the coast of the Bahamas, Wednesday (July 16).
Brett took the dive as part of a bet he made before the song reached the top of the charts, when he agreed to take the plunge if the song became his second No. 1. He commemorated his first No. 1 hit, “Don’t Ya,” with another bet and equally risky stunt—sky-diving!
“People celebrate No. 1’s and gold records in different ways,” Brett said in a release about the big jump. The underwater No. 1 plaque presentation was believed to be the first of its kind, certainly in Music Row circles, anyway.
The singer and his team made the dive in association with the Rock the Ocean Foundation, an organization designed to increase public awareness about ocean conservation and other issues.
We can’t wait to see how he celebrates his next chart-topper!
