Glen Campbell, who has been battling Alzheimer’s disease in recent years, will be honored with the inaugural Glen Campbell Courage Award during the 22nd annual A Night at Sardi's event in Beverly Hills, Calif., March 26. Glen and his family will receive the award for publicly sharing Glen’s story and for their advocacy in fighting Alzheimer’s.
A Night at Sardi's benefits the Alzheimer’s Association and features appearances and performances by some of the top names in entertainment. Acclaimed songwriter Jimmy Webb, who penned many of Glen’s best-loved songs, including “Wichita Lineman” and “Galveston,” will perform a tribute to Glen. A musical revue will highlight legendary tunes from such great Broadway musicals as Gypsy and Funny Girl. Since its inception, the event has contributed more than $23 million in support of the Alzheimer’s Association.
