It’s pretty in to be an Outsider these days, as it turns out.
Eric Church’s highly anticipated fourth album, The Outsiders , which hit stores Feb. 12, sold 288,000 units in its first week to land at No. 1 across all genres, according to Billboard . It’s his biggest album debut so far, and the highest album sales since December, when Beyonce’s self-titled album moved 310,000 units in its second week. It’s also the biggest country debut since Luke Bryan’s Crash My Party arrived with 528,000 in first-week sales.
Previously, Eric’s acclaimed 2011 album, Chief , earned the singer his first No. 1 album, with sales exceeding 145,000 units upon release.
