Our thoughts are with country legend Ray Price and his family as we learn that he has returned to the ICU at East Texas Medical Center in Tyler, Texas.
According to a Facebook page that Ray's son Clifton administers , the icon's health has begun to deteriorate as a result of an ongoing battle with pancreatic cancer. Clifton writes:
My Dad is very sick. He is in the East Texas Medical Center At Tyler, Texas. He has been in intensive care. He was admitted on Monday. I got to visit for a brief moment on the 22 of November at the ranch. I was invited back by my Father the next day but the gate was locked. My Dad is in final stages of pancreatic cancer and the general opinion is that he will not be going home. When I saw him the cancer seemed to have taken his strength away. Its very sad that Cancer is going to take his life and that there is no cure.
God Bless everyone for their prayers.

In a separate Facebook post by Hall of Fame radio DJ Bill Mack, Ray is reportedly in stable condition after a dodgy few days. "The pancreatic cancer, as expected, is causing additional, serious issues, although he is now in ‘stable’ condition—after going through a ‘very tough week,’” says Bill, who spoke with Ray’s wife, Janie, after the singer was admitted. “Ray is well aware of your love and strong concern,” he added.
The legendary country star was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last year, but continued to tour during 2013. In October, Country Weekly reported that he had been admitted to a cardiac ICU with sepsis, but on Nov. 29, Janie posted on Facebook that he had been released .
More details will be posted as they become available. Country Weekly sends warm wishes to Ray and his family.
