Even music heroes like Brad Paisley have music heroes.
And one of Brad's is bluegrass great Ricky Skaggs, who was recently named artist in residence at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville. One of the things that means is that Ricky gets to give a bunch of shows at the Hall of Fame.
And his first, on Monday night (Nov. 18), included Brad, who was stoked to say the least. Ricky invited him to play on his 1983 hit “Highway 40 Blues” from Ricky's Live in London album.
“I’ve been playing this song since I was 2,” Brad joked to the crowd.
“I feel like I’m back in my bedroom at 12 years old listening to Live in London and he’s playing the electric guitar again. It’s flipping me out. I’m so excited. Really, it’s fantasy camp. This is wonderful.”
