Last week, Rose Falcon gathered friends, family and fans together for an intimate StageIt show to raise money for the City of Hope organization to benefit cancer research.
Held at “Falcon Manor”—the home of her famous father, Billy Falcon—Rose, Billy and hit songwriter Dylan Altman played an acoustic round for the cause very close to the Falcons’ hearts. Rose lost her mother to cancer when she was only 4 years old.
“Hosting and playing my live stream/house concert for City of Hope and breast cancer awareness was totally a unique experience for me,” Rose told Country Weekly following the event. “I’ve played countless benefit concerts, but never one where my heart was so invested in the cause. It kind of made me nervous, but at the end of the night, I really just felt blessed and amazed at the people who care for me, who came out and tuned in to support something I am so passionate about.”
Rose, Billy and Dylan all took their turns playing original songs, including Eric Paslay's rising hit “Friday Night,” which she and Dylan co-wrote. For the night’s encore performance, Rose called out her very special surprise guest, fiancé Rodney Atkins, who played his new single, “Doin’ It Right.”
“Between getting to hear my dad, Dylan Altman and, of course, my favorite—my Rodney—all play in one night and share their stories was incredible,” gushed Rose. “It seems ‘blessed’ is a common word around our household lately, and for good reason.”
Rodney was proud to do his part in helping his beautiful bride-to-be raise funding and awareness for something so important to the both of them.
“Last week we were on the road and visiting radio stations promoting my new single,” Rodney told Country Weekly. “After a station visit, we went together to visit a children’s hospital. Making a difference in others’ lives has always been a priority in both of our lives. Now we feel so blessed to experience these things together. It’s another reason I know she’s meant to be my girl.”
Fans can still log on to Rose's official Facebook page (facebook.com/rosefalconofficial ) to place bids on special shirts and necklaces being auctioned off, and proceeds will also go to City of Hope to benefit cancer research. Rose is currently out on the road with Rodney on his More Hits for Your Money Tour, also featuring Frankie Ballard.
