Thursday evening (Oct. 24), the 19th Annual ICM Faith, Family & Country Awards took place at The Fellowship at Two Rivers, honoring artists, songwriters, radio personalities and others associated with the Christian and inspirational country music scene. Country music was well represented, as Rascal Flatts, Martina McBride and Scotty McCreery were all winners in the mainstream categories.
Rascal Flatts took home Mainstream Inspirational Country Song and Mainstream Inspirational Country Video for “Changed,” while Martina was crowned Mainstream Country Female Artist and Scotty was Mainstream Country Male Artist. Other winners throughout the night included The Roys, Tommy Brandt, Mary James, Kali Rose and others.
Country’s own Andy Griggs was nominated in the Mainstream Country Male Artist of the Year category, and he also served as co-host for a segment of the awards show.
Later in the evening, Andy took the stage to perform an acoustic rendition of “John Henry,” a song written by his late brother, Mason Griggs. Other highlights included Gene Higgins being presented with the Living Legend Award.
