Kenny Rogers will be inducted Sunday (Oct. 27) into the Country Music Hall of Fame, and he says the timing is just right.
“I mean it from the bottom of my heart, I’m glad it happened now rather than when I was at the peak of my career,” Kenny tells ABC New Radio, “because I had so much going on at the peak of my career, I’m not sure I could have appreciated it.
“But happening now, to be able to take my boys, and I have two older sons that are going to come out and join us. So, that’s very important to me, to share with them. It truly represents the ultimate in success, I think, to be in the hall of fame anywhere.”
Kenny will be inducted with Bobby Bare and late producer/songwriter “Cowboy” Jack Clement.
