Willie Nelson has been forced to cancel four upcoming concert appearances due to a shoulder injury. Doctors have advised the 80-year-old singer to rest for a week to recuperate.
Willie was slated to make an appearance at Zac Brown's Southern Ground Music & Food Festival , Saturday (Sept. 28), in Nashville, but will have to miss that show. The annual culinary and musical extravaganza, featuring performances from Zac Brown Band, Kenny Chesney, John Fogerty, Eli Young Band, Kacey Musgraves and others, will go on as scheduled.
Willie has also canceled shows in Carmel, Ind., Charlotte, Mich., and Springfield, Ill. The dates have or will be rescheduled.
On Sept. 21, Willie Nelson and his friends John Mellencamp, Neil Young, Jack Johnson and others were in Saratoga, N.Y., for the annual Farm Aid concert to benefit farming families and communities.
